Making my neighborhood more walkable, sociable, sustainable and safe
This blogger has been writing about how America's built spaces prevent many Americans from connecting with the supportive social networks essential to health and happiness. To illustrate, he takes his neighborhood and suggests changes to make it a place that would foster more connections with his neighbors. He does this because: "It's worth a minute of anyone's time to ponder how they could make their own surroundings more amenable to spontaneous, non-commercial, human-scale social interaction."
